The Board of Commissioners for the Improvement of Brooklyn Heights, authorized by the City of Brooklyn in 1866, was a self-perpetuating body of prominent citizens that oversaw the construction and maintenance of parks and other public spaces in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn.
