Hide Profile

Founded by educators in 1985 in New York City as Educators Against Apartheid. The name was changed as members thought it important educators deal with racism in the United States as well as apartheid in South Africa. One project was a boycott of Kellogg cereals as children could relate to this; another was Teacher's Retirement System divestment from South Africa. Primarily based in New York, it regularly met at the Riverside Church.
