White, Tomas

While a student at the University of New Mexico Centro Andino, White received a grant from the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology to study in the Andes and to purchase instruments. He recorded various performances of marimba ensembles. The instruments Mr. White purchased are now housed at the Maxwell Museum of Anthropology.

White received his BUS degree from UNM in 1981, his JD in 1988 and MA in 1989. He practices law in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He continues to maintain his interest in Latin American music and has composed music for and written articles about the marimba. He also performs with a local salsa group.
