Bartlett, Stanley Foss, 1902-1937
Variant namesStanley Foss Bartlett, the son of King Bartlett and Anna Foss Bartlett, was born Feb. 13, 1902, in Leeds, Maine. He attended the University of Idaho Forestry School for a time and studied briefly at the Portland Art Museum and Pratt Institute in New York. He was a poet, short story writer and photographer. In addition to publishing three books, he also wrote for "The Northern," the magazine issued by Great Northern Paper Co. and was a columnist for the newspaper in Lewiston, Maine. Bartlett died on July 13, 1937.
