Newark City Hospital (N.J.) School of Nursing Alumni Association.
The Newark City Hospital Nurses Training School was founded in 1885, and the first class of students graduted in 1888. In 1968, the hospital, including the School of Nursing, was purchased from the City of Newark by the New Jersey College of Medicine & Dentistry, an antecedent of UMDNJ, and the NCHSN closed in 1971.
