Smith, J. Holmes

J. Holmes Smith was a missionary of the Methodist Episcopal Church in India from 1930 to 1940, at Lal Bagh Ashram in Lucknow. He was recalled to the United States in 1940 after participating in activities supporting Indian Independence and opposing India's forced participation in WWII as part of the British Empire.
