Daughters of the American Revolution. Abigail Batcheller Chapter (Whitinsville, Mass.)
Local chapter of women's patriotic organization established in 1903; dissolved 1964; its property in Whitinsville acquired and used by the Visiting Nurses Association and later by Northbridge Historical Society. Chapter named for Abigail Batcheller who was the second wife of Capt. David Batcheller, of Northbridge Center, and was commander of a company of soldiers during the Revolution.
