Isaac and Samuel Miller were the sons of Jacob Miller, a captain in the Pennsylvania militia. Jacob Miller had received the land at Miller's Hill in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, on the recommendation of the Commander-in-Chief and President of the United States, George Washington, in 1785. The records span from 1826 to 1840.
