Leeds (England). City Council. Education Committee.
The Leeds School Board was formed in 1871 as a result of W.E. Forster's Education Act of 1870 which aimed to provide state elementary education for most children. The Leeds Education Committee was formed as a result of A.J. Balfour's Education Act of 1902.
