Patricia Blondal was born in Souris, Manitoba. She attended the University of Manitoba in the early 1940s and then became a broadcaster in Winnipeg upon her graduation. Blondal also travelled throughout Canada and spent a year in England. She married Harold Blondal in 1946 and spent the 1950s living with her husband and children in Montreal. Blondal wrote short stories, two novels and one mystery novel which remains unpublished.
