Hubbard, Newton K., 1839-1909.
Newton K. Hubbard was born in 1839 at Hampden County, Massachusetts. In 1859 he moved to Painsville, Ohio and in 1861 enlisted for service in the Civil War. After the war he worked at Geneva, Ohio until 1870 when he moved to Duluth, Minnesota and later that year to the Red River Valley. He became one of the earliest settlers at Fargo, owning various businesses, including the Headquarters Hotel. He died at Fargo in 1909.
