Kathryn Ophelia Hutcherson Campbell was born on October 24, 1894 in Frankford, Missouri. She married Charles Chambers on September 19, 1916 and subsequently divorced him. She married Leon Edwin Campbell on July 9, 1926. Leon Campbell died on February 14, 1964. In 1914, Kathryn Campbell graduated from Synodical College (Presbyterian) in Fulton, Missouri. Kathryn Campbell died in Dallas County on December 2, 1984. She held membership in various lineage and patriotic organizations. She was state President of the State Society of Kansas USD 1812, 1933-36, President, History Club (Federated) Kansas City, Kansas, 1949-1951; President, Lancaster Shakespear Club (Federated) 1960-1962; President, Colonial Dames of XVII Century, Dallas, TX, 1971-1973; President, Jefferson Davis Chapter Daughters of the Confederacy, Kansas City, Mo., in 1936 and became a member of Bonnie Blue Flag Chapter of Dallas, TX. She wrote numerous genealogical books including That Kentucky Hutcherson; John Biggs, the Welshman and his descendants, 1729-1979; The McFarland clan of North Carolina, Kentucky, Missouri and Kindred families; Absalem Adams Facquier Co., Virginia, 1757 Allied Families and John Parker, the Virginian and His Descendants, 1709-1980.
