Chester J. Lange (April 14, 1910 - September 26, 1994) was a prominent veterinarian in Greensboro North Carolina. He received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell in 1932 and an M.S. degree in biology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 1938. He worked for the United States Department of Agriculture and served in World War II as a captain in the Veterinary Corps before opening an animal hospital in Greensboro. He was active in the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association (formerly called North Carolina State Veterinary Medical Association), serving as secretary-treasurer and later as president. He was also involved with the Carolina Kennel Club and the Humane Society of Guilford County, and was the recipient of the NCVMA’s Veterinarian of the Year award.
