Brichta, Augustus, 1826-1910.
Pioneer teacher; first teacher at an English-speaking public school in Tucson. He served with Co. A., 2nd Regiment, Texas Mounted Volunteers in the Mexican American War under Taylor, joined the Gold Rush to California, then came to Arizona and prospected near Prescott.
