A women's club organized in 1933 by former pupils of Dr. Frank Nagel. The group joined the Iowa State Federation of Music Clubs in 1934. Members performed and presented talks on musical topics at the meetings and sponsored and promoted local artists and events.

Frank Nagel served as dean of the Highland Park College of Music and Oratory in Des Moines. He was a conductor, pianist and composer. Nagel's son, Conrad Nagel, was a successful stage and screen actor and was one of the founding members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
