Davis, Arthur C. (Arthur Cayley), 1893-1965
Variant namesArthur Cayley Davis was born March 14, 1893, in Columbia, South Carolina. He served as commander of Carrier Division Five from August to October 1945, and as Director of the Joint Staff, Joint Chiefs of Staff, from 1949 to 1952. He retired as an admiral in November 1955. Davis died on February 10, 1964.
