The original structure, Fowler Methodist Episcopal Church, was designed by architect Warren H. Hayes in 1894. Later additions were made in 1906 and 1918 by Harry W. Jones and Bertrand & Chamberlin, respectively. The structure is on the National Register of Historic Places.
