John H. O' Halloran, was a politician and businessman who served in the government of the People's National Movement (NM) between 1956 and 1970. Accusations of corruption and taking of bribes were laid against him and he was formally charged with accepting bribes in 1983. He moved to Canada and died in 1985. His financial dealings were under investigation under a subsequent government.
