Sally Sovereign was born on Jan. 26, 1914, the daughter of W. J. "Bill" and Lillian (Frazee) Sovereign. Sally also had a brother, Wlliam F. Sovereign. On Sept. 18, 1934 Sally married a Petoskey attorney, John "Jack" Scott Clark (died on Oct. 7, 2003). The couple did not have any children. Sally was a watercolorist. She was also a founding member of the Crooked Tree Arts Council of Petoskey and a generous friend, active member, and supporter of the Petoskey Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation, Northern Michigan Hospital, and the Little Traverse Conservancy, among other organizations. She loved dogs and outdoor activities, and was known as a lovely, generous lady. Sally died in March 2005. (This information is from the collection.)
