Soldier training for duty in the Spanish-American War; private, Co. I, 16th Pennsylvania Volunteers; resident of Sheffield, Pa.; mustered in 16 June 1898; died, 12 Oct. 1898, in military hospital, Puerto Rico. The 1880 census lists three-year-old Arthur L. Borden in the household of Jerry and Eliza Borden.
