Ceramicist Julia Galloway studied under Betty Woodman at the University of Colorado, earning a Master's of Fine Arts. From 1999 to 2009, she served as Department Chair and Associate Professor of Ceramics in the School for American Crafts at RIT. A utilitarian potter, her pieces are both wheel thrown and hand finished. Her work has been widely exhibited and published, and is included in collections at the Smithsonian and the Huntington Museum of Art, among others.
