Biography
Dr. Denis Christian Guttridge holds a B.A. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology (University of California, San Diego, 1986), a M.S. in Biochemistry (California State University, Long Beach, 1988), and a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (University of California, Irvine, 1996). From 1996 to 2001, he served as a postdoctoral associate at the Lineberger Cancer Center at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. His laboratory studied "the role of Nf-kB in cell growth and differentiation." Since 2001, he has been an assistant professor at the Division of Human Cancer Genetics at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He was honored with the Regents Fellow Award (UC Irvine) in 1990-1991, the Joseph S. Pagano Lineberger Award in 2001, and the V Foundation Award in 2002.
The postcards have been collected by Guttridge's parents who left Vietnam in 1954.
