John Williams and Company.
John Williams worked in Elijah Iles store from 1819 until 1830 when he bought the store. He became one of Springfield's most prominent businessmen. Frequently joined in on business ventures with George N. and John W. Black. Was involved in banking, railroads, mining and a watch factory.
