Old Wing Mission (Holland, Mich.)
Old Wing Mission was founded by the Rev. George N. Smith, a Congregational minister. A leading advocate of the Western Society of Michigan to Benefit the Indians, Smith opened a temporary Indian school near Allegan, Michigan, before building the Old Wing Mission in 1839.
