De La Mare, Phillip, 1823-
Born on the Isle of Jersey, became a blacksmith and contractor; converted to Mormonism, translated Book of Mormon into French. With John Taylor, purchased machinery for beet sugar industry in Utah, and freighted machinery across the plains in 1852.
