Farrell E. Roberts was born on Mar. 29, 1922, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and the University of Michigan. He is a combat veteran of W.W. II and Korea, and is a commander in the U.S. Naval Reserves. He has acted as assistant prosecuting attorney for Oakland County. In 1956, he was elected to the State House of Representatives (Republican) and re-elected in 1958. In 1960, he was elected to the State Senate where he remained until 1966, when he was elected to the bench.
