Brewster, John L., ca. 1829-1863.
John L. Brewster was born ca. the son of Dyer Brewster of Cornwall, New York. Later he removed to Jamestown, New York, where he enlisted for military service in August 1862. He served as a private in Company C, 9th New York Cavalry Regiment. He was wounded in action and later died of infection in April 1863.
