Miller, Franklin, soldier
Variant namesCamp Cooke was built in the fall of 1866 in the angle of land between the Judith and Missouri rivers in central Montana. It was built as a temporary post but remained in operation until spring of 1870. Franklin Miller was a soldier in the 13th U.S. Infantry, Fort Riley, Kansas, until 1866. He then served at Camp Cooke and was discharged on August 5, 1867.

Horn and Miller family pioneers of San Joaquin County, Calif. Lives of Alexander Horn (1814-1905) and the Rev. William Murphy (1732-1803) outlined. Horn made overland journey to California (1855) and settled in Stockton. Horn Ranch one of earliest wheat farms in county. Collection includes some photographs.
