Burnett, W. C., (Wellington C.)

W. C. Burnett was a lawyer who became a California State Senator representing Yolo and Yuba Counties in 1856. In the Mexican War, he fought as a member of Company "E" in the 15th Infantry. He later practiced law in San Francisco. Lester Burnett became an orchardist at Long Bar, California. Jane Cleveland Burnett married W. C. Burnett in Brooklyn, New York, and then joined him in Sacramento.
