Calbreath family

John Calbreath, born in West Virginia, came to Oregon with his family in 1865. He attended Toland Medical College in San Francisco and practiced medicine in Lafayette and McMinnville, Oregon. From 1899 to 1908 he was superintendent of the Oregon State Insane Asylum. He married Irene Smith, daughter of Sidney Smith, an Oregon pioneer.
