Clara Elisabeth Heyer, née Kummer, migrated from Alsace-Lorraine, France to Australia with her husband George Heyer in 1868. Clara Heyer was the mother of Clara Paton, wife of Frank Paton, a Free Church of Scotland missionary at Tana, in the New Hebrides, and of Johannes Heyer, minister of St John's Presbyterian Church, Hobart. George Heyer was the pastor of St Paul's Lutheran Church, Germantown (Grovedale), near Geelong, Victoria.
