Edward L. Crabb was a businessman of Brooklyn, N.Y., who, along with his brother, John Crabb, and nephews, George R. Bunker and Albert Bunker, worked in the sugar refining business. At times, they oversaw sugarcane estates in Cuba and purchased cane from Louisiana plantations. The firm of Crabb & Wilson operated a sugar refinery in Brooklyn, N.Y., while George Bunker worked from the Delaware Sugar House in Philadelphia, Pa., and Albert Bunker was in New Orleans, La.
