Harris family, 1858-1935.
Abram Winegardner Harris, Sr., was president of Northwestern University (1906-1916) and member of the Board of Education of the Methodist Episcopal Church (1916-1924). Abram Winegardner Harris, Jr. (1890-1958), son of Abram Winegardner, Sr., took care of his father during much of Abram, Sr.'s, final years, and his portion of the Papers derives most of its value from the information it contains about his father's life and activities.
