Brown (d. 1878) was a lawyer in Hammondsport and Cooperstown (NY). He married Maria Smith. They had a daughter Mary Kelly, who eventually divorced her husband, Alanson W. Kelly. Eleanor Fitzgerald and her family lived in New York (NY). Eleanor and her sister, Irene, graduated from Smith College in 1908.
