J. Edward Ridley graduated from OAC in 1927 with a BSc degree in Agriculture with a specialization in dairying. He then moved to Prince Albert, Sask. and worked as a cream grading inspector with the Saskatchewan Dept. of Agriculture. Later, Ed Ridley was supervisor of Dairy Herd Improvement Associations, assistant Dairy Commissioner, and then Chairman of the Milk Control Board in 1955. In 1962 he was appointed Dairy Commissioner for Saskatchewan. He was inducted into the Saskatchewan Dairy Hall of Fame, Feb. 10, 1993.
