Straw Hat Theatre, Inc.
Elizabeth Guest Berryhill and Gordon Connell met at the University of California, Berkeley before World War II and founded the Straw Hat Theatre in Lafayette, Calif. The first show was performed in 1947 and they toured extensively until 1956. Elizabeth Guest Berryhill founded the Festival Theatre in San Anselmo, Calif. and the company performed between 1957 and 1970.
