Spanaway Lutheran Church (Spanaway, Wash.)
Following initial groundwork in the Spanaway area by Rev. Harold Adix in 1961, “Package Mission #55” was established in Spanaway. Funds were made available from the ALC along with other monies to purchase property and build a parsonage and church. Five acres were purchased in the fall of 1961 and Rev. John L. Briehl came as pastor. In 1969-1970 an education wing and fireside/fellowship room were added to the church. On June 5, 1983, a large sanctuary and other facilities were completed.
