No information is available on Laraway, Pullen, or Hough. Starr was born in New York (State) in 1803. He married Rhoda Gibbs (d. Sept. 8, 1863). They lived in Royal Oak Township (Mich.), where, like his father Vine Starr, Orson manufactured cow bells. They had four daughters and six sons, the eldest of which, Almon Starr, became a wealthy manufacturer of bricks and tiles. Orson died on April 23, 1873.
