The Inter-Lutheran Commission on Worship's (ILCW) task was complete with the publication of the Lutheran Book of Worship (LBW). Thus the Inter-Lutheran Committee for Introducing the LBW was created by The American Lutheran Church (TALC), the Lutheran Church in America (LCA), the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS), and the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Canada (ELCC). The committee was directed by Ralph Van Loon of the LCA and Mons Teig of the TALC. The committee was advised by the ILCW.
