Starr, Peter, 1778-1860
Peter Starr was a graduate of Williams College and completed his law studies in Middlebury, Vt., where he was admitted to the bar in 1805. He practiced law in Middlebury until near the end of his life, held numerous civic posts, and served as a state legislator. He was trustee of Middlebury College from 1819 until his death and served as treasurer of the college from 1839-1842.
