Mary Lee was born in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England around 1900 and was a student at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, from 1918-1922. In the 1918-1919 session she studied French, Elementary Italian and Latin. In Latin she gained a Certificate of Distinction. In the 1919-1920 session she took History, Italian and English, gaining a 1st Class Certificate in English Literature. In the 1920-1921 session she studied English at Junior Honours level, Italian Literature and Mathematics. She continued English to senior honours and also Italian Literature. She graduated with an MA in November 1922 and became a teacher. She appears to have died in the early 1980s.
