The Florida Alliance for Arts Education is a private, nonprofit corporation affiliated with the national Alliance for Arts Education, which is sponsored by the John F. Kennedy for the Performing Arts. It is a coalition of representatives of the major arts education organizations in the state, as well as school boards, state agencies, and arts councils. The purpose of the Alliance is to promote all facets of the arts in education through student programs, teacher education, and in-service training. Florida Alliance for Arts Education serves as an advisory board to the Florida Dept. of Education and promotes the arts in all Florida schools, both public and private.
