Papal States. Presidenza delle armi.
Established in 1828 by Leo XII from the Congregazione militare (ID VATV793-A). The Presidente delle armi was a chierico di camera (ID VATV603-A). In 1847 the presidente became a member of Consiglio dei ministri (ID VATV794-A), and responsibility for armories was transferred from the Tesoriere generale (ID VATV651-A). Later in 1847 the presidenza was transformed into the Ministero delle armi (ID VATV707-A).
