Baker, Henry Hyrne, 1831-1899.
Charleston, S.C. merchant and soldier. Baker served as an officer (captain) of Company A of the 27th South Carolina Infantry Regiment, part of Hagood's Brigade. He was the son of Barnard Elliott Baker (d. 1850) and Susan Wilson Drayton (d. 1866). Henry Hyrne Baker married Laura Virginia Reynolds in February 1862.
