Hoxie family.
Jane Hoxie Robinson came to Iowa City in 1842 with her husband, James Robinson. On September 27, 1852 she married Thomas Banbury. Her parents, Ichabod (?) and Electa Hoxie were living in Iowa City after 1850. Richard Hoxie, son of her brother Joseph who was living in New York, came to live with Jane around 1858. Richard Hoxie was a West Point graduate (1868) and served in the Army until 1908. In 1878 he married Vinnie Ream. The Hoxies used the Banbury home at 310 South Lucas in Iowa City as a summer home until 1931.
