Mason, Frank M. (Frank Marion), 1897-1976
Frank Marion Mason. Jr., was born on July 13. 1897. He earned his bachelor's degree at Northwestern University in 1920, and later received degrees in engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and in law from Washington University.
Mason joined Fairbanks, Morse and Company in 1922 as a design engineer. During the forty years he spent with Fairbanks Morse. Mason also worked on patents and in research. He retired in 1962 as Vice President in Charge of Government Business.
On June 26, 1922. Mason married Claudine Van Cleave who had earned her B.A. at Northwestern in 1921. The couple had two daughters, Mrs. Wynn Taylor and Mrs. Judith Macomber. Frank Mason died on March 14, 1976, at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, Illinois.
