Duffy family.
Family of New York City grocer and salt importer, John Duffie (1763-1821) and his wife Maria (Roosevelt) Duffie (1760-1821); including the family of thier son, Cornelius Duffie (1789-1827) and his wife, Helena (Bleeker) Duffie (1796-1821); and daughters Cornelia (d. 1873) and Margaret (d. 1874) Duffie who were responsible for the construction of the Episcopal church of Saint John the Baptist on the corner of Lexington Avenue and 35th Street.
