First Evangelical Lutheran Church (Sharpsburg, Pa.)
First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sharpsburg, Pa., was founded in 1863 by former members of the Evangelical United Congregation of Etna, Pa. The church, which served mostly German-Americans and used German as its official language until 1920, was originally located on Clay Street in Sharpsburg, moving to its present location on Sixth Street, Sharpsburg, in 1889.
