Bontrager, David Russell, 1908-1971.
A native of Iowa, Bontrager moved to Elkhart, Ind. in 1932. He practiced law and served as city judge and Elkhart County prosecuting attorney. He served four terms in the Indiana State Senate, and in 1958 and 1964 ran for U.S. Senate but was defeated. He practiced law until his death. Bontrager was a member of local, state, and national Bar Associations, the American College of Trial Lawyers, and several fraternal organizations.
