Quigley, John, 1826-

John Quiqley was a Detroit man. He entered service in Co. H 27th Michigan Infantry as a 1st Lt., age 37, and was commissioned Oct. 10, 1862. He was wounded in action at Spottsylvania on May 12, 1864, commissioned Capt. of Co. D on Dec. 10, 1864, and was mustered out of service on July 26, 1865. (Taken from Record of Service of Mich. Vols. of the Civil War, 1861-1965, p. 108.) He was listed as a plumber in the Detroit Directory (1877) as were other Quigleys. The 1884 Detroit Directory lists a Charles Quigley, plumber, boarding with John Quigley, plumber.
